Nominations eligible for the award include:
- A novel/innovative product. A product that has really made a difference within the orchid range.
-A valuable innovation in growing technique for the orchid business.
- A person or organisation that stands out and makes or has made major contributions to the branch.
- A valuable marketing concept or strategy.
The target group is asked to provide nominations through advertisements, interviews and articles in the press or by personal invitation. They are requested to fill in a form with a further substantiation of the nomination with the reasons for the candidacy and with the right to publish.
The nomination will be described, explained and valued on the basis of a thoroughly substantiated jury report.
The Advisory Board assesses the nomination in advance on the basis of assurance standards.
The Jury is appointed by the Advisory Board and consists of five people. The Jury is composed on the basis of the nature of the nominations and, if possible, the members are active in the orchid business. The chairman is independent and comes from the Advisory Board.
The Jury lists a maximum of four nominations and also decides who the winner is.
The Jury is under an obligation of confidentiality.
